Kirsten Brooks

Kirsten Co-Director

Kirsten has earned a B.A. in Theatre Arts and a B.A. (Hons) in Anthropology from the University of Winnipeg as well as an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Manitoba. She is a writer of creative non-fiction, short stories and poetry and worked for over fourteen years in the theatre as a producer, director and performer. Kirsten is a Reiki Master and has been walking a Spiritual path for the last twenty years, moving towards her role as a Healer and Guardian.

After a trip with Shandra Hees to the Goddess Conference in Glastonbury England three years ago, a vision of creating one here in Manitoba evolved by meeting and mixing dreams with the lovely Chris Hammond. What better place to have a festival that celebrates the Feminine Divinity in the Land and in the People than the Keystone Province — in the centre of Canada?!

Additionally, Kirsten can usually be coerced to sing off color songs and sea shanties using an Ethel Merman voice.
